ABOUT
About DockFolder
DockFolder is a small macOS app that turns groups of apps into folders sitting right between the apps in the Dock. It is made by Laura Wagner at klickwerk.digital in Lower Austria.
Why DockFolder exists
macOS only lets folders live on the right side of the Dock, next to Downloads and the Trash. DockFolder gives each folder its own icon on the apps side, so a group like “Work” or “Streaming” can sit next to Mail or your browser and open with one click.
How it works on the Mac App Store
Mac App Store apps run in Apple's App Sandbox and may not create new apps on your Mac. DockFolder therefore ships one ready-made, sandboxed Dock icon per category inside the app itself. That is why folders are chosen from categories instead of named freely, and why no extra download is needed.
